The best thing about Ueno is that it's the first major stop you will stop at if you come from Narita Airport. Ueno is known for its huge Ueno Zoo that features a female Giant Panda, Xiang Xiang. There is also Ueno park that you can walk through and it is really large and relaxing to stretch your legs from the long flight.

Ameya Yokocho (Ameyoko, picture). This street market has all types of asian foods that is cheap and delicious and has a nice lively atmostphere that will give you a totally different vibe from the rest of Tokyo.
